Process 1:
- After presenting the lesson, the class will divide into teams of four.
- Using Process Guide #1: Brainstorming, each team will brainstorm about WWII and the creation of memorials or monuments.
- Each team member will read the job descriptions in the Task Section and select a job.

- Individually, using at least six websites and classroom
literature sources, research and answer the following questions using
Microsoft Word. Please note, sources must be checked and validated using Kathy Schrock's Critical Evalution Survey: Secondary School Level as a guide. Remember to keep a webliography of all sources you use.

- What do you know about your audience that will help you convince them to build a memorial to the frogmen?

- As a team
- Director – lead a discussion with your team detailing the requirements needed to write a letter to Congress requesting a meeting on the issue being discussed here. As a team, write the letter.
- Chief Marketing Officer – lead a discussion with your team on how to create your persuasive argument to Congress. As a team, construct a PowerPoint along with other visuals to present your argument to Congress.
- Memorial Designer and Frogman – lead a discussion detailing the types of war memorials created along with your ideas on a memorial for the frogmen as well as stories to support the memorial. As a team, create visuals detailing the construction along with pricing, and create a small model of your memorial.
- Final Project: Each team will present their persuasive argument using PowerPoint or other visual aids. A small replica of the memorial is to be created, along with labeled drawings showing size, scale, materials, and cost.
