Process
There is a Native American saying "Don't judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins". Since you are not able to walk in the shoes of these people you must collect enough information to get a feel of what it was like for them.
1. It is necessary to read each article, to gather enough information so you can relate the events of the time periods.
2. Take notes by coping and pasting the major points of interest; jotting down your own ideas of how you would have reacted, what you would have been thinking and feeling if this was happening to you and your family. Be sure to look at the issues from both sides.
3. Visit the library media center or your public library to access print resources or copy and paste the information from the Internet to Microsoft Word. Choose an historical fiction book from one of these time periods. After reading the book, compare its historical content with the facts you have gathered.
4. When you have completed your research using a variety of information sources, select and complete each of the writing assignments listed above (Task).
