This webquest is designed to support 8th graders into becoming parts-of-speech teachers for 6th graders. They will be teaching sixth graders about nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, participles, and prepositions.
What are the parts of speech? Do you know what a noun is? How about the difference between the adjective and the adverb? What is a participle and what does is have to do with a verb? How about the preposition? Why are these things important? You may know, but what about your fellow students?
Congratulations! You and two other students have been selected to be a team and teach a class of sixth grade students about the parts of speech.
The parts of speech are the building blocks of our sentences and it is important for sixth graders to understand how they are connected to each other and how they help a sentence to function.
In order for you to become a teacher for the sixth grade group you will be teaching, you need to become an expert on the parts of speech yourselves. So now you are going to explore this webquest in order to achieve your goal of becoming an expert on the parts of speech.
Follow the path towards becoming an expert on the parts of speech!
I am excited to see how the adventure turns out!
