Students will create a map of a new city, including important places and using key elements. They will then find out how far their city is from where we live.
Introduction
In the first part of our mapping activity, we made detailed maps of our own neighborhoods and communities. Now we are going to investigate a new city!
How will this new map look?
Is it similar or different to the one you made of your neighborhood?
In small groups, we will find the answers to these questions!
