Introduction

The  is a period of time that was filled with lots of discoveries and inventions! These changes made life for people a lot easier. People began to think and question in ways that they never before had, and this led to lots of wonderful paintings and poems, even plays!

Lots of famous people you may have heard of come from this time in history, and they helped influence what we now know as "The Renaissance". Lots of the perks we enjoy today are due to ideas people had hundreds of years ago! Imagine a world without a digital camera to take your profile picture with, or a computer...

During this time in history there were many changes in the way people made ships, sailed the oceans, made buildings, did math, and made books. In 1445 the printing press was invented. This increased the number of people who could read because books became easy to make and cheap enough for many people to buy.

Technology is still causing big changes in peoples lives today. Computers are changing our lives just like the printing press affected the people of the Renaissance. You will be looking at the past, while gaining skills in using the technologies that are driving us into the future!
