FIRST as a class we get to read When I First Came to America

SECOND you will make a list of important items you would want to take with you so you can “do the best they can” in your new surroundings. (this is when we will use our post it notes)

THIRD we will share our items with each other

 

FOURTH you will work together to sort the post-its into categories (e.g. toys/games, family, clothes, pets).

FIFTH Create the student trunk by gluing the Student Culture Trunk Cover to the front of a three prong folder. Put the Student Continent Culture Map inside of the folder.
