This WebQuest should be planned over at least one week. Time should be allowed during class for students to do their research, work on story concepts, identify individual roles, do pre-production and possibly production and post production, as needed.
If you introduce the WebQuest on Monday, the students should be able to show their short film on Friday to the class. The intent is not to show a perfect, Oscar-winning film, it is to have a filmmaking experience and learn the basics of making a film. You should make your students aware of this. It will be obvious through the film they make as a group and the reflective paper they turn in individually, how well they have grasped the concepts.
