Teacher Introduction
Bloom's Taxonomy Scaffolding:
This webquest has been designed to challenge the students to use a range of thinking skills. The first steps require the students to research the features of National and World Heritage sites which uses the skills of knowledge and understanding.
The next steps require students to apply the knowledge they have learned about the heritage sites by analysing and synthesising this information in a way that can be presented to others.
Finally, the students are asked to evaluate this information, form an opinion and then justify this position by persuading others to agree to their point of view.
This webquest is therefore scaffolded to allow the students to develop along the continuum of higher order thinking skills as devised by Bloom (1956) in his taxonomy.
