Students are invited to join a team of Astronauts on the next mission to the Moon. They will research how astronauts prepare and how the space shuttle is designed. They will also do extensive research on the moon, including the phases and characteristics. They will have the opportunity to express their own opinions regarding the importance of space exploration.
Introduction
The year is 2006 and thus far, more than 70 spacecraft have been sent to the Moon. From the moment Astronaut Neil Armstrong set his foot on the Moon in 1969, there has been an incredible fascination with Earth's Moon. Twelve astronauts, including Buzz Aldrin pictured below, have walked on the Moon. Many today dream of such an experience.
Although we have vast knowledge of the relationship between our Earth, Sun and Moon, there is still so much to learn. This is your chance.
