“Killings, mass gassing of men, women and children, brutalities, cruelties, tortures, atrocities, medical experiments - inhuman acts were an everyday occurrence during the Nazi genocide” (Bulow, 2004).  Imagine living as a Jew in a concentration camp during World War II.  Imagine being taken from your homes, thrown into trucks like sacks of potatoes, not knowing what was going to happen next, being dehumanized.

Upon arrival at the concentration camp, you are striped of all your clothing and belongings and your head was immediately shaved.  You were identified by a serial number that was placed on your forearm.  Imagine not being able to shower when you were dirty, not being able to eat food when you were hungry, not even being able to have access to a bathroom.
