Task
The United Nations has recently set up a commission to analyze the role of propaganda in current world situations. The commission believes that in order to effectively analyze today's propaganda, we must look back in history to analyze the role that it has played in the past.
You will be placed into a group of three students. The groups will represent a country in the United Nations. The group will choose a country to represent. (Remember: the country should have an interest in propaganda today.) As members of this special commission, you will be expected to analyze the use of propaganda both before and during World War II. As a group, you will evaluate the effectiveness of propaganda as a tool in the war machine in the 1930s and 1940s.
Each group will then create a visual presentation that must be approved by the teacher(video, power point, etc) to express the conclusions of the commission. The presentation must include information about World War II propaganda and related information about propaganda in today's world.
How will what you learned about propaganda in World War II help us to analyze propaganda in today's world situations?
