Teacher Process

The students will be completing the lesson following steps grouped under four main parts: research, presentation, writing, and oral presentation.
During the research development, it is vital that students have plenty of time and opportunities to fully gather information. They will use this information in every aspect following.
Students may need guiding during the creating of the PowerPoint presentation. This will vary depending upon their background and experience with such technology. Specific guidelines and requirements are described for them in the webquest. Once again, students may need extra class time to work on this part of the project. Keep in mind that each student possesses varying levels of out-of-school technological resources.
This WebQuest can take anywhere from one week (by eliminating some aspects) to three weeks (by expanding each part to its max). It can be adapted by using models or poster boards in the place of the PowerPoint. However, I feel that it is important to allow students the opportunity to demonstrate themselves both verbally and nonverbally. This meets more learning intelligences and it lets you, the teacher, better determine individual achievement.
