Task

Your group has been selected to investigate Thomas Jefferson's life, talents and accomplishments.  You will find out the answer to the essential question "What influence did Thomas Jefferson have on the success of the United States?" 

Sometimes you will be looking for information in the media center and at other times you will be searching websites to answer questions, and learn about Thomas Jefferson's life, talents and accomplishments.

You will be:

1. looking at different web sites to complete a handout about Thomas Jefferson.

2.  completing a timeline on the TimeLiner program about his life.

3.  choosing a quote from Thomas Jefferson's papers and respond to it.

4.  taking a virtual tour of Monticello and the University of Virginia.

5.  answering the essential question, "What influence did Thomas Jefferson have on the success of the U.S?" You will do this by first making a web on the Inspiration program; then changing it to an outline and finally writing the outline into a research paper.
