Global Connections Strand

In this assignment, students will:

• Analyse connections between Canada and other countries;
• Explain the role of selected international organizations and agreements and why Canada participates in them (e.g., United Nations, Commonwealth of Nations, World Health Organization, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, World Trade Organization, International Olympic Committee, etc.);
• Summarize significant contributions Canada makes to the world; and

• Evaluate Canada’s participation in organizations that deal with global issues.
