Now that you are in high school, your reading  assignments are becoming harder.  You need to remember and understand more of the material in your books.  In many of your classes, the textbooks are more complicated and technical than you're used to.  You should know it now, things are going to keep getting harder.
From here on out, you have two choices.  You can keep working harder and harder until you fall behind and flounder, or you can become a better reader.  Reading better is reading more effectively.  Knowing different reading strategies allows you to remember and understand more of what you read.  This webquest is designed to teach reading as an active process.  If you learn the strategies well, school will become easier.
