This webquest is designed for a comparative analysis of the genocides of Native Americans and the Jewish population(s) in Europe during WWII.
Introduction
During World War II Adolf Hitler implemented a massive program to destroy the Jewish population of Europe. In this, he exterminated approximately six million Jews. The Holocaust, as it is known, is considered to be one of the greatest atrocities in human history and has been given an especially large amount of attention.Likewise, the extermination and displacement of the Native American population during the time of U.S. expansion is also considered by some, to be one of the worst cases of human suffering and population collapse. Yet, this, especially in comparison to the Holocaust, gets little attention and is rarely regarded as being an act of genocide.
