Process
First, you will be assigned to a group of four students. You will be given a group folder to hold your work for turning in. Your duty, as a group is to plan a pizza party for your group. There is a catch. You did not want to buy more than you need, so you must use fractions to make sure everyone in the group gets an equal amount of pizza.
To practice fractions, you are going to play The Pizza Party Game. Everyone in the group should play the game. When you have answered all of the questions correctly, you will reach a screen with a chef telling you congratulations. Each member of the group should print this screen and put their name at the top of the page. Put all four completed sheets into your group folder.
After your group has completed this task, you may move on to the next.
Next, your group's task will be to help you determine which fractions are the same as the other, which are more than, and which are less than. Remember, you want each of your group members to have an equal part of the pizza at your pizza party.
Your next task will be to play the Comparing Fractions Game. When you open this window, you will scroll down to find a game that will aid you in comparing fractions. When you press START, two fractions will appear in the left and right boxes. It is your job to determine whether the fraction on the left is less than, more than, or equal to the fraction on the right. You must complete at least twenty of these with at least 80% correct. Once again, each member of your group will complete this task, print the results, put the group member's name at the top, and place them in your folder.

When each of your group members have completed this task, you may move on to the last task.
For your third and final task, your will be drawing some fractions and answering some questions about fractions. This task will be completed in pairs within your group. Print the page and write the two names of the person in your pair and then the all of the members in your group on the line below. Use the hyperlink to the Fraction Review to find your problems. When the window appears, click open. Print two copies of the Fraction Review.

To begin, you will draw the ten fractions with your partner. Make sure each partner does 5/10 to keep it equal. When you are finished drawing the fractions, there are questions at the bottom of th page. Answer all of the questions and return to your group. Put the completed Fraction Reviews into your group folder.
