Process
Since this is a brand new job, you need to impress your demanding Boss (Mrs. Snodgrass) with your knowledge and critical thinking as you complete your days of Tour Guide Training. Your boss just informed you that the students coming for the tour would only have time to visit the Mark Twain Home and the Mark Twain Cave. You have to be prepared to answer the student's questions during that tour. Therefore, you need to do research to prepare yourself. Over the next few weeks, you are going to visit websites with valuable information, use maps and other sources, and take notes on selected topics. You are also in the process of reading Mark Twain's book, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer with Mrs. Bohm. Therefore, you will make connections to that book as well. You will also learn about bats and caves with Mrs. Glenn. You will use that information as you discover information about the Mark Twain Cave. At the end of your training, you will have created fabulous fact and thought filled outlines, a research paper for Mrs. Budinger, and an Informational Tourist Guide. Your Boss will be grading you on all these things. It is up to you to show your Boss that you can handle this Job!
You will begin your training by using the following headings for each section of study-
Note- Each Heading is a different color and each of the four sections of study will be in the same color as the heading here. Do NOT work ahead!! If you finish the assigned outline, you may complete the activities on the Conclusion Page for Extra Credit.
