Process
Step 1
- Get into groups (up to 4 students per group).
- Choose an animal you would like to become from the list below:

- Tell your teacher which animal your group has decided to become. Your teacher will magically transform you into your animal. It is your job to discover all you can about this animals' survival habits so you too can survive the harsh Arctic environment.
Step 2
You will need to discover:
- What do you eat?
- Who are your predators?
- Where do you live?
- How big are you?
- Why do you like being this animal?
- Each group member will have to find one interesting fact about the animal they have chosen to become.
Click on the hyperlinks next to the animal you have chosen. In each web site you will be able to collect the information you need by looking at pictures, watching videos and reading the text.

Step 3
Create a web to organize the information you have discovered about yourself.
Step 4
Using the information from you web, you and your group will create one of the following:
- song
- poem
- poster
- story
- skit
- or another project that has been approved by your teacher.
Step 5
Ask yourself.... Did I choose a good animal to become? If I had to do it again which animal would I choose? Write a response in your journal to explain your answers.
