This webquest is designed to have the students do research into the various parts of the US Space Race
Introduction
In the 1950's and 1960's, the US and Russia were locked in a
fierce competition. First they werelocked in a race to lay claim
to the first man in space. Once that was accomplished, they
fought over who could orbit the earth. Finally, the last leg
of the race was the ability to boast the first men on the moon.
There were many people and discoveries along the way that
led to the accomplishments that ensued. Some even dated
back to the Chinese. There is too much information to just
have one person report on it.
For this project, each person will choose one area and create
a presentation to show to the rest of their collegues.
