Learners

This lesson was created for high school (ages 14-18) learners in Spanish language classes, but it would also be of interest to classes of creative writing, folklore, Hispanic studies, and social studies.

Accomodations: 

Special Needs:  Learners with special needs may be assigned as a third partner in a group to assist with research, layout, and project design.  These students would not write an actual article, but would participate in all other aspects of the project such as the research, the note-taking, and the personal reflection.

Gifted:  Learners who are academically gifted may be assigned a project extension such as a 3-D model of the legendary creature, a short story involving the creature, or a presentation about the creature to an audience (perhaps another class or at the school's faculty meeting).
