This webquest is created for EFL adult learners who study and specialize in different academic programs and whose foreign language proficiency range from upper-intermediate to advanced. The selected topic is such a hot debate issue which concerns everyone in the society that it would most likely stimulate learners’ motivation.
Teacher Introduction
Different roles give the learners the chance of selecting the area in which they want to explore more according to their own interests.
The main goal of the webquest is to stimulate learners’ motivation to use the foreign language:
- to explore the internet regarding the selected issue,
- to read the information on the selected issue,
- to practice speaking while working in groups and sharing information,
- to develop writing abilities while working on the group report,
- to present the outcome in a format of formal presentation in the class.
I believe this webquest would be most useful if it can be divided into 4 sessions.
