This is a guide for high school students to assess their fitness level and establish fitness goals.
Teacher Introduction
Teachers,
Don't you want the students to take more of the responsibility for improving their own cardiovascular fitness?
Are you tired of hearing high school students complain? Do we have to run? (No, you get to run and this is why!)
My favorite student statement is "I do 100 sit-ups everyday and I still don't have a six-pack, how can I lose the fat on my stomach and look good in a swimming suit?"
If you feel like your students do not work hard and take pride in their own fitness improvements this activity may just help you get your students to take pride in improving their fitness.
This acitivity just may help cranky teenagers learn how to establish fitness goals and bring them to fruition.
Think of the possibilities: the pride and the confidence you may inspire within your students to lead healthy fit and fun lifstyles. Check it out!
