Task

You are a young Mayan man or woman living in the large city of Chichen Itza toward the end of the 16th century. You are a member of a privileged, noble family. The Spaniards have tried unsuccessfully to invade and colonize your city. You and your family are afraid that you will not be able to hold them off for very long and that your way of life will soon be destroyed. You need to select a number of artifacts to hide and protect so that the knowledge of your great civilization will not be lost to future generations. You and your family have only a few days to accomplish this task. Determine what you will select and explain why these artifacts reflect upon the greatness and uniqueness of your culture.
