This WebQuest allows students to explore the historical elements behind To Kill a Mockingbird in an interactive and collaborative manner. They search the internet to discover the people, places, events, and lifestyles of the South in the 1930s, and they work together to design their very own Maycomb Tribune newspaper.
This project is intended for the seventh-grade English class at the Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, Maryland. I designed it to be a final project for the To Kill a Mockingbird unit and for Professor Lori Stuart during my graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University.
