Resources

Of course, students will need access to computers.  However, the entire class does not necessarily need to work on the project at the same time.  This assignment could be carried out over a week or so.

Links are provided to the Research Guides (Professor, Auburn Activist, Atlanta), Committee Guides, and sample letter throughout the WebQuest.

As an extension, guest speakers could be invited into the classroom.  There are many resources in the Atlanta area.  This is an opportunity to tap into family funds of knowledge.  Students might interview parents, grandparents, or other family to get their perspective on the civil rights movement in Atlanta (or wherever they are from) and any involvement they had in the movement.
