Teacher Process

  1. The students should be divided into groups, if you so choose, or they can work individually.  Once this is done, you should tell them where they can find copies of the books.  You might also want to have copies from the school library for them to use in the classroom.
  2. The students then need to decide what type of project they will do.  Make sure they have the necessary supplies for their projects.  They also need to decide who will do what part of the project- who will work on what.  They should list what information they need to provide for the project- author, year the book was written, summary of the story, what they liked/didn't like, differences between the books, setting, and characters.
  3. The students then can work on finalizing their projects.  Give them as much time as you think necessary to work on them until it is time to present them in front of their classmates.
