Students will take on the role of an epidemiologist. They will then pick a disease and investigate characteristics of the disease. Once the student or groups of students are experts on their disease, they will construct an emergency preparedness plan for their community as a proactive measurement to a crisis. The plan will be presented in a professional, organized, and creative manner.

You and your team are epidemiologists who have been asked by the Governor of  Arizona , Janet Napolitano, to safe guard your community against a deadly disease.  Your team must create an emergency paraperadness plan in order to keep your community safe.  It is up to your team to also determine the most threating disease to your community.  Once the threat is identified, a course of action must be developed.  Our safety is your hands.  Don't let your community down.  This is your mission is if you choose to accept it!
