This Webquest is about the bald eagle in the midwestern United States, particularly along the upper and central lands along the Mississippi River.

Introduction

Bald eagles are a natural resident of the midwestern lands along the Mississippi River. Until 1995, this bird was on the endangered species list.  In recent years, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service has changed the status of bald eagles in the lower 48 states from endangered to "threatened."

You share the land and resources of your planet with the bald eagle. Let's learn about this still threatened animal, and try to understand its place in the natural order of life.
