  1. You will go on a webquest to identify the following four American Patriotic symbols:  Each member of your group will pick a different symbol: The American Flag, The Statue of Liberty, The Bald Eagle, and the Liberty Bell.

  1. You will go to this websight_Ben's Guide to U.S. Government_ follow its links.
  2. You have to find five facts about each symbol.
  3. You will state why each symbol is important to the American people.
  4. You will download a colored illustration for each symbol.
  5. You will add at least one additional decoration to each symbol (draw, color, or cut and paste a picture for each symbol).

The next step is for each group to look at their rubric, brainstorm, and decide how you are going to put all your information together onto a billboard.  One person from each group will be responsible to present the final product.

In this last section you will be putting your billboard together. You have already brainstormed.  Remember, your billboard will have one symbol and five facts for that symbol.  It should also state why this symbol is important to the American people, include a colored picture downloaded from your website, as well as an added decoration.
