Teacher Process
In order for students to get the most out of this Web Quest, students
should be placed into groups for the entirety of the process. Groups
should have three students at a minimum. Because students have the
opportunity to choose different methods of presentation, you may want
to group students according to their preference in presentation style.
Students have been given the option of presenting the information in the following ways:
1) Create a news report
2) Write an article for the local newspaper
3) Create your own idea and have it approved by your teacher
The news report could be taped or live, depending on your preference and resources available. The third option leaves room for you to allow students to come up with their own ideas and to better fit your unique class.
TIMELINE:
This WebQuest has a number of components:
1) collecting information
2) creating a presentation
3) sharing the presentation
4) writing a letter in response to the presentations
With these sections in mind, you can better estimate the time it would require your class to complete this WebQuest.
