Introduction
Welcome to your journey back in time to "Life in a Medieval Castle." Since you will be learning a lot about the Middle Ages, you are asked to put yourself in the shoes of a character from that time. While you may think that life in a castle must have been a rich and easy life, don't forget that we're talking about no electric heat, no toilets, and a lot of rules, just to name a few things!
The following readings and web sites will allow you to pretend that you are living in a medieval castle. Depending on what your station was, and by this I mean if you were a nobleman who owned the castle or a lowly serf or servant who was dedicated to working at the castle with no rights of your own, made your perception of castle life very different.
After reading through some of the information, you must decide early on which character you would like to write about. Make sure you don't waste too much time without looking for notes that will help you with your task! The more that you are able to read and the more notes that you take, the better that your diary entry will be.
