The Great Depression was an era that affected many, many people in many different ways.  Although these were times of great sacrifice, pain, and suffering, many families were able to make the best of a difficult time in our nation's history. 

It was a time when families bonded together for help and support while neighbors took care of each other.  People learned how to make due with less and live simple lives.
