Introduction

You have just completed reading the novel A Long Way from Chicago by Richard Peck. Two kids from the big city of Chicago survived living out in the sticks with their eccentric grandmother. Why would their parents want to have their children leave them in Chicago for long periods of time during the years of the Great Depression?
In this webquest, you will choose one role in order to research the reasons that a set of parents would choose to be separated from their children. You will evaluate whether or not this separation from their parents benefitted the two children.
