This webquest will test students to research and report findings on how computers change the ways in which people live, work, and communicate with computers and its programs.

Introduction

You are an investigator representing the internet generation (Born since the explosion of the home computer market in the mid-to-late 1980s and 1990s) and are tasked with updating the world on the history of computer-based programs, their use, their benefits and potentially harmful effects on society, for the new edition of the Internet Generation Journal. It seems that some of the previous editions have left out some pivotal developments in computer-based programs that aid the community in functioning, working and communicating with one another. It seems that people of earth are leaning to use more and more digital devices. Your superiors want you to gather the information about the history of computer-based programs and functions so that we will not be ill-prepared for the next wave of publications. Since your predecessors failed to include all facets of computer based products, you are left with the task of enlightening society on the pros, cons and uses of these programs.

Good Luck!
