Teacher Process
Travel Adventure 101 for Teachers...
- Some students may need help with the passport
(correctly writing their home address, etc.), having an example(s) out may
be useful.
- Engaging the students beforehand in dialogue about
traveling, trips they have taken, or books/stories the class has read about
traveling may evoke helpful discussion.
- Create a limited list (3-4 items) of necessary travel
items with the class. Some examples
may include: camera, money, walking/hiking/snow shoes, jacket, raincoat,
long pants, shorts, bathing suit, or toothbrush/toothpaste.
- Once they begin creating their itenerary, look around to see if anyone needs help/clarification.
- Encourage the children to be original when designing
the stamps for each country, this is an opportunity for them to freely express
their creativity.
