Process
Step 1
1. You must choose one of the following ancient mysterious structures the Tikal Mayan Temples, the Moai Statues, or Stonehenge.
2. Once you have selected a structure you need to begin researching. Build your knowledge in four areas; how the structure came to be, who found the structure, where it's located, and what the structure looks like.
3. To receive credit for the first step you must complete and turn in a short write- up. Your write- up for the archeologists will include the four previously stated areas, a drawing of the structure, and a map that shows where the structure is located in the world.
4. You must use at least 3 of the resources listed below.
Step 2
Now, use the research information you collected, on your mysterious structure, to create a visitor brochure. In this brochure you must include at least four details.1. Drawings or pictures of the structure
2. Where it is found on a map
3. Why, as a tourist, would we want to see this place?
4. Also, include other interesting facts that would persuade a tourist that your mysterious structure is the most interesting
Make sure that your brochure is visually appealing. (Remember you are trying to persuade the class that your ancient structure is the most interesting.)Step 3
Once your brochure is in final form you will present it to your classmates. This will be a preview before you send it to the archeologists for approval. In front of your classmates you will share the information you found during your research and present the details you included in your brochure.Resources:
