Task
In small groups, you are going to work together to find a map of a Spanish-speaking country and chart 5 destinations you and your family will visit. Create a travel plan of where you and your family can go and how you all can get around.
You will also need to write directions to and from your hotel to these points of interest.
You are working to create this for ONE family, but each member of the group will have a specific role to play:
- Teen McQueen
- Benita/Beto Bookworm
- Louisa/Louis Logistics
- Carlos/Carla Culture
Still, you are a family. It is important for you to work together! Remember to keep a few things in mind (including weather, food, transportation, and activities). Also know you have a budget of somewhere between $4,000-14,000.
You must be ready to "pitch" these ideas to your "parent" teacher with a poster map display of the itinerary and an oral presentation. The oral presentation is expected to be rich in pertinent travel vocabulary (chapter 6 of Ven Conmigo 2), commands on how to get to 5 sites from the hotel/lodgings, and suggestions (ch. 5) on what do do while there.
