Teacher Process
First Step
This step takes place entirely in the computer lab, as students must have appropriate access to computers for research. Go over the rubric before starting the project so that students understand what is expected of them.
Second Step
This step may take place over two class days as students work with their partners to create a slideshow that they can present to the class. Oversee that each pair is working to focus their topic and keep it within the 4-minute time frame. Encourage all pairs to address the three key points of the presentation - background, legality, and comparison.
Third Step
This will take place in your classroom over the span of two-three days, depending on the size of your class. Each pair will be given four minutes to present their slideshows, using the LCD projector and the class computer. Work with students beforehand to ensure that there won't be any technical difficulties during their presentations. Use the rubric and a timer to ensure that each pair is given adequate time and is judged appropriately.
