Students will explore and research specific information about the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos. They will plan various activities as if they were actually participating in the holiday. Students will also research their role model who has passed away by paying tribute to their life in a written report.
You just recently moved to Oaxaca, Mexico and are trying to cope and adjust to the many changes. As October 31st approaches, you are getting used to the fact that Halloween isn't celebrated in Mexico, but rather a different holiday called "Dia de los Muertos" or Day of the Dead. In an attempt to fit in, you decide to plan and celebrate your own Dia de los Muertos in your new home.
