Process

Students will be grouped together in teams of three.  The jobs for each team member will be:  1) The Historian 2) The Info Keeper 3) The Tech Guru.

Oversees the research of historical events and what events make it in the time capsule (presentation) 

Keeps track of all information and will oversee the creation of the prophecy. 

Oversees the creation of the time capsule (presentation) 

 

All three team members must work together to get the time capsule and prophecy created.


Now, that is teamwork!

Time Capsule Resources

These are some webpages that give you more information about time capsules

Take a look at items from an actual time capsule from Rochester, New York.  It was buried in 1873 and opened up in 1999.
A magazine article from the 1950s taking a look at what life would be like in the year 2000.  Interesting stuff!
Insert your birthday and you will get your very own time capsule of events that happend that year.

Turning in your time capsule.

Follow these steps to turn in your work.  Time capsules not turned in the correct way will not get credit. The Tech Guru should turn in all work.

 Turning in your Prophecy:

  1. Open your prophecy in Microsoft Word.
  2. Click on File
  3. Click on Send To
  4. Click on Mail Recipient
  5. Your email program (GroupWise) will open
  6. In the To: box type Travis True
  7. In the subject type Time Line Prophecy
  8. Click Send
  9. Click Yes or OK

Turning in your PowerPoint

  1. Open your PowerPoint
  2. Click on File
  3. Click on Send To
  4. Click on Mail Recipient
  5. Your email program (GroupWise) will open
  6. In the To: box type Travis True
