This WebQuest was designed for very young learners, PreK and K students. Students will view different types of animals, classify them according to three categories, and count them. In addition, students will create drawings and assist the teacher in creating a graph.
Teacher Introduction
This WebQuest is aligned with the Houghton Mifflin PreK curriculum theme on animals. Preschoolers will be exposed to different kind of animals, zoo animals, jungle animals, and ocean animals. They will be required to classify them, count them, create a drawing and label it, make comparisons, and assist teacher in creating a graph.
This WebQuest should be performed along the theme on animals and after the students have already been exposed to the different kind of animals. Oftentimes, teachers do not have the materials to extend a theme. This WebQuest will allow you to extend the theme by accessing photos of animals on the Internet rather than having to purchase your own animal photos or manipulatives.
