Teacher Introduction

Through this webquest, you can travel to Ancient Egypt in the classroom! The students will research the history, people, environment, economy and the art and architecture of this fabulous place all located in the webquest. Not only does the Ancient Egyptian Journey webquest cover Social Studies, but also Language Arts standards as well. Students will also learn to use their social and technological skills to complete the project! The students will be divided into groups according to class size and the amount of computers available. They will be given a topic and are to research their topic thoroughly through the websites and images given. Students can write down or print out the information found and, along with the group, create a papyrus pamphlet that includes informative and creative writing, pictures, facts and statistics about Egypt.
