This is an Underground Railroad "scavenger hunt." First they students learn the general information about the "railroad." Next they are able to create their own "route to freedom" and find out how very far they have to travel. The students then get to know a person who was influential to the Underground Railroad.

    Welcome!  I hope you will find this webquest helpful in your classroom!  This webquest was designed to fit into a Black History unit and as an in depth look into the Underground Railroad.  You may want to adjust the assignments to fit the needs of your classroom.  Also, if there is time restraints the students could work in groups!  Have fun!
