This WebQuest was designed to introduce students in the first grade to six different apple varieties and their uses through completion of a chart, tasting of apples, and creating their own apple book.
Introduction
Have you ever been to an apple orchard? Did you
know that there are many different kinds of apples? Some are good
for baking pies while others are better for eating.
Apples also come in different colors. Some are red, while others
are yellow or green. They also have different tastes.
Pip and Minna also like apples and they are planning to go to an orchard to go apple picking. Pip wants apples for his snack at school, but Minna is planning a surprise. Can you guess what it is? Since there are so many kinds of apples to choose from, they have asked if you would come along to help them decide which apples to pick. Let's go.
