Congratulations, you have finished the Whitman Webquest. Now, it is time to sit back with a nice iced latte and watch your classmates perform their original work.

Through reading Walt Whitman's long rambling lines, you have learned that poetry does not have to adhere to strict rules of metere and rhyme scheme.

In addition, you have noted that the language of poetry does not have to be formal and uptight. In fact, as we see in Whitman's work, sometimes it is more effective to use slang and regional dialects -- Heck, you can even make up a word if you want to.

Most importantly, you have participated in the celebration of nature, life, dreams and America.

Now, it is your turn to soar!!
