This WebQuest was designed so that students are given the access to explore the universe and find information about certain planets. This is designed for grades 3-5.

Teacher Introduction

This lesson was developed in CI-423 Teaching Langauge Arts in the Elementary School.  This class is part of the Elementary Education program at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.  The instructor of the class is Dr. Gary Willhite.

In this lesson the students will research and produce an oral and written presentation in small groups.  The topic of this lesson is the Solar System.  Each team will research and present to the class one planet that they choose. 

Students are assessed after the lesson is complete in areas such as:  written report, oral report, cooperation, and overall assessment.
