Webquest about the 18th century Textile Revolution. Students are asked to help a fictitious character in the design of a new cotton factory which will integrate both new machinery and better labour conditions.

Introduction

In 1788, Francesc Balaguer owns an Indian calico factory in Poblenou, Barcelona. Recently, he has been thinking about setting a larger cotton factory that incorporates the new textile machines from England while also improving the working conditions for his labourers. Can you help him?
