In this WebQuest a group of students is asked to design a proposal for their senior trip. The proposal will be presented to the school board for approval. The proposal for the trip must include a detailed itinerary and budget. This budget will include expenses related to travel, hotel, meals, and activities.

Teacher Introduction

This WebQuest was designed for high school students to show them what is involved in planning a class trip. It allows the students to see the both the detailed planning and expense that goes into planning something like the senior trip. By choosing the airline, hotel accommodations, and theme park packages they will discover that it is not as easy as it may seem and involves mathematical reasoning and calculations. Students will work collaboratively to investigate and compare data to choose the best deal and stay within a budget.
