Task

All animals have adaptations that enable them to live in their own habitat and carry out necessary functions.  Animals are divided into classes.  What animal classes have similar adaptations?  Your group will consist of three expert animal class researchers: 

1. FISH                  2. AMPHIBIANS               3. REPTILES

Each group member will choose a different animal class to study (fish, amphibian, or reptile).  Then, you must select a particular animal species. 

It is your responsibility to learn about the adaptations of that particular animal species.  You will then list 5 adaptations and the functions for the animal you chose. 

Using the Inspiration software, a cluster diagram explaining each animal’s adaptations and functions must be created. 

Then you will design a sketch or a three-dimensional sculpture displaying one adaptation for your animal.  Compare the adaptations that you have learned with all of your group members.  Are their any similarities?
